Remember. Numbers can be spoofed, and Sites can be hacked. Malware can put bad links in legitimate sites. Use common sense when looking for further information on scammers, the last thing that needs to happen is flooding a legitimate company with calls because someone hacked their site.

Spending some extra time on figuring out what exactly is going on with any given malicious popups can result in you giving a companies IT personal the heads up they need to secure their site.

I agree. One spam email had a link to a site. I went to the main domain of that site which belonged to a photographer. I messaged her on facebook, from link on her site. She did not realize someone was using her site to host malware or links to malware.

Many sites are compromised. Better to inform rather than destroy.
