So using `*67` is not safe because scammers/companies operating from tollfree numbers (800, 844, 855, 877, 888 area codes) can still see your number. Tollfree numbers mean that the scammers/companies pay for the phone calls. Because of that they have a special right to see who's calling them and they can request the phone carrier to reveal that information. `*67` is not working in that case.
Just use BobRTC (REMOVED) which uses a safe technology called CallerID spoofing and the calls are made from a central phone server of BobRTC, totally disconnected from your phone number and your real identity.
Also TextNow is a valid option.
