Printer Tech Support Scam - https://smartdevicesetup.com/services/

Scam Number:
Scammer’s Website or Email: Services – Printing Services
Additional information about this scam: This website Services – Printing Services is running a major printer support scam. Clicking on the “WINDOWS,” “MAC OS,” or “CHROMEBOOK” buttons redirects users to https://printerconnectsetup.com/, which displays fake HP, Canon, Epson, and Brother icons. Clicking any brand icon leads to lookalike scam pages
(123hpcom – Official Printer Support, Printer Model – Official Printer Support, Epson net – Official Printer Support, Brother Printer – Official Printer Support).

Victims entering any printer-related info are taken to a fake driver download page that always triggers an error, prompting them to enter personal details (phone number, name, email, etc.). Scammers then call and impersonate the brand.

And some other person also reported it here:

was reported here five years ago.

818-660-2229: Victor called from the Canon Support. His favorite color is blue, but he refuses to sing the Canon Printer Song.

According to Google, the number is an alternate number for “First Source Technologies LLC,” a wordpress site company with offices in one of the Banana Republic of Wyoming’s notorious corporate motels.

The website https://firstsourcetechnologies.us/ advertises a different number, 805-696-4191. I called and “Logan from Support” answered. “Support for what,” I asked Logan? He hung up.

Note that there seem to be at least two other “First Source” companies with a presence on the Web that seem to be unrelated and don’t look like typical tech support scams.

Another pair of websites from First Source (Google ad info: https://adstransparency.google.com/advertiser/AR05020945171366281217?origin=ata&region=US )

Services – Printing Services links to Error Canon Printer Support (with other error pages for the other major printer brands).
