Additional information about this scam: Running Google ads for printer support. Used their online chat and got to a man named “Allen Walker”. I proceeded to call the main company number on their site and got handed a Google Voice voicemail message. I provided my info in their chat and “Allen” proceeded to call me from that number, in which I picked up but put them on hold so they could hear their own (Google Voice) hold music. I told them that I was the one hearing the music, and he immediately began troubleshooting, spam calling me from up to four different numbers, some of which are seemingly linked to other past scams. Upon asking “Allen” if the numbers were him, he said yes and that he was trying other internet numbers. Eventually he gave up and we got into a conversation over text messages, where I ghosted him for a few hours and then texted back. Got into my VM via QuickAssist and ran thru the basic tech support scam, (foreign ips, hackers on your network, viruses, stopped processes, etc). Eventually hung up and he never contacted again.
