On February 4, 2026, operatives from the Nigerian Police Anti-Fraud Unit arrested 24-year-old Precious Onudhona for facilitating a $35,000 romance scam under the false personation of a White American medical doctor by the name of “Travis Kevin.” According to investigators:
- Onudhona’s scams started in 2023 when he joined a romance-related scam syndicate, who created false identities and deceptive narratives for him to deceive people on Facebook and Instagram.
- In addition to posing as “Dr. Travis Kevin,” Onudhona established a fake banking website that displayed fictitious account balances.
- The victims will be asked to pay Onudhona in the form of cryptocurrency, under the false impression that it was “needed for feeding and medical supplies” following a purported injury sustained in the line of duty.
