Hi all!
I have created a gmail address for my primary scambaiting persona. However, i have additional extra characters I use from time to time. Should I create email addresses for them as well, or can I just give the scammers an email made up of the components of their names and hope that there’s no random person who actually has that actual address? I’ve only gotten an email to my primary scambaiting email once from a scammer, so the chances of them emailing seem pretty remote, but still. I worry about random humans out there. Maybe overly so.

Personally I would create an email for each persona, protonmail, gmail, mail, outlook, are all good options for it, and can be persona based (an old man would more than likely not use protonmail). The main issue is making each email look realistic, you would need to sign up for a lot of stuff. Mailbait is a good way to do so, however in my experience the success was kind of minimal, and your IP is usually logged and sent in with sign up emails. Although, using a single vague email, probably gmail, could be good for multiple personas, and easier to manage reality. Emailing a 419 scammer and seemingly taking their bait is also a good way to get a shit ton of spam. From just a single conversation with one, my spam email is currently getting around 100 spam emails a day!
I agree. I use Hotmail and Protonmail… They seem to be OK with using a VOIP line number at signup.
