Has anyone dealt with one of these before? around two years ago it happened to my grandparents. A scammer called them pretending to be my sister claiming to be in jail and acted hysterical, luckily my grandparents called me before doing anything, but it was wearing their poor hearts out.
It is one of the most terrible scams ive seen, preying on peoples love for their family, i never got the phone number or anything, as my grandparents live a distance away.
