HIGHLIGHTS FROM VIRTUAL MACHJINE BAIT:
- The scammer, “Levi,” claims an “attempt of hacking” took place within the past 48 hours, prompting you to “connect to the secure server of Microsoft” by running HopToDesk (ID: 177423800/“Agent”)
- Once “Levi” remotely connects to my virtual machine, he wanted me to run the “netstat” command to falsely claim “six hackers from Ohio and China” are on my network and phone line.
- I was then asked to run a “final scan,” but the call suddenly dropped and they stopped taking calls back.
