So was on pof came accross this person. Profile stated age 24. Talked a little exchanged numbers. Got to know each other and all. The person kinda talked sexual even with emojis. Started sending nudes. I accidently sent one without my face. They continued talking sexual the rest of the night. Then the next day the number called around noon. Stated my first and last name. Saying i fucked up there family saying i knew she was 16 that she was about to go to college. That there daughter pushed there mother down the stairs and put her in the hospital. Kept making threats and said was gonna press charges. Kept saying i could of been a rapist or a kidnapper. Then he brought up the medical bill was 2.7k and said if i pay it. He will know that this isnt a joke. Started saying a payment plan all that stuff. Later on the day texted saying sir i need an apoligy letter. Dont take me as a fool.
Im not sure of all this if its a scam or not im paranoid.
It’s a scam. This has been happening more often now. The number is also from TextNow.
Another post like this popped up about a week or so ago.

romancing scam at its finest it seems like from your info. and a little word of advice for you champ: I know its not illegal, but please don’t send pornographic content to people you really don’t know. Same goes for the sextortion scams, which is under the romance category.
off topic kinda, but one thing that really annoys me about these scams so much is these people (and I specifically here talking about young men, I do not your gender) as compared to the tech support and PCH scammers is with sextortion scams, and maybe as controversial as this sounds, they kinda do have a brain to tell them not to send illicit photos to strangers, but they do it anyways in the sake of getting some cyber wise.

Had a call from the number and all that again. I just need someone to fuck with the number to find if its a scam

I don’t how fucking with the number is going to determine if it’s a scam. I dialed it once and there was no answer, so I don’t know what else can be done about it if the guy won’t pick up. I’m relatively new to the community and I don’t want to speak on behalf of everyone, but I don’t think anyone is going to harass the number if we can’t get a confirmation that the number is in fact owned by the scammer or not.
All I can tell you is that the number is from TextNow, which is a good hint that it’s coming from a shady source, and that this is a common scam related to the sextortion campaigns.
The number is the same one i keep getting calls from. You said he didnt answer? Yeah your right wont get nothing out of it if fucking with him. But fuck just wanted to see what he would say if acted as the number was reported as a scam and all if he would instant hang up or somthing
Do you have screenshots of the text messages for context?
If you’re being harassed by the number, block it or consider changing the number. Like I said, it’s a known scam and it’s been going on for years. Nothing is going to happen.
