We've had some internal discussion over at BobRTC over the question about how to go about explaining what scambaiting is and the subject BobRTC in front of journalists who are writing stories about the community at large. We've been approached by media on this and other matters.
We have developed an internal policy that the devs and admins will be following going forward:

We know that there have been great examples of fair coverage about what scambaiting is and it's certainly important to recognize the effort of scambaiters who have done media interviews and helped explain to the public what we are.
It's very important that this continue because without the public's overall sympathy and sentiment we won't have sympathy or support from the government regulators we're trying to appeal to.
