@williamlukz#136870 No worries, the usual applications people use which are public and available for free are BobRTC, TextNow and GoogleVoice. TextNow offers inbound calls, which is useful for portraying yourself as a legitimate customer. There are other solutions such as purchasing a subscription to a VoIP provider, but this costs money obviously and/or requires the configuration of a VoIP server.

But if you need a phone that you can receive calls on, you can use Google Voice (although I’m not exactly sure if you can change your number).
