PCKeeper?!

So I got a tech support like popup asking me to download PC Keeper?

What's your take on this as I obviously am not infected with a virus?

EDIT #2: Scam Popup

Instead of calling a ‘tekneeshun’, they have it more automated to steal victims $$$. Probably increases the scammers profits by not having to pay for a ‘tekneeshun’. I’m pretty sure the PC Keeper malware/scareware that would be downloaded would have some automated payment system where little or no human interaction is needed.

@AussieScamBuster#13987 Ye I don’t think it’s a rogue tho maybe just junkware. Interesting how the popups are very similar to the tech support scams. Maybe a connection can be made?

@iCy#13995 Good work, it seems that they redirect to different sorts of scams at different times of the day. They also have a site attempting to get people to download what is clearly a piece of adware. Kinda interested how they use the same templates as the tech support scammers, probably because they just copy-paste the source code and only change the download links for the software itself.
