Of course, cannot tell me the name on the account or how it was paid for. If people would just ask simple questions they would save themselves the grief of being scammed.

Just like the tech support thing. When they say your network has been hacked, just call your service provider and check. Or Google the real number for Geek Squad or Microsoft and just ask. It all seems like common sense. The first time for me was in 2008 and an IRS scammer. I heard the message and called the IRS and spoke with an agent. I became a scambaiter after that.
