Level 3 via Skype, baiting with virtual machine

sent me to jp.l24help

HIGHLIGHTS FROM VIRTUAL MACHINE BAIT:

  • The scammers answer as “PayPal Suppoat,” but “Kevin” instantly blocked my Google Voice line. I then got ahold of “Shane” with my TextNow line and was asked to “open the Google Chrome” and go to jp.l24.help (Code: 39457, IP 45.148.244.78 :netherlands:).
  • Once “Shane” remotely connected to my virtual machine, I was asked to fill out a “cancellation form” designed to impersonate the “BBB-AccreditedFederal Trade Commission.
  • I was then asked to “log into” my nonexistent bank account. Since I don’t have an online bank account, they wanted me to register for one even after I falsely claimed my bank is strictly in-person.
