Additional Information About This Scam: I received a text a few minutes ago, it had this fake invoice image:
Amount 780 for TMobile 5g home internet.
Answers as “customer service” and then when asked “Is this PayPal?” responded with “Yes, this is PayPal customer service.” Had a five minute convo with “Noah” who got indignant for a bit when I called him out for being a scammer and then finally hung up when I gave him crap for letting me tilt him so easily. Suspect he’s one of the rare non-IN/PK scammers – he caught my rupee joke but the hindi insults flew right over his head. Update: I think the first guy I got just wasn’t from India. Subsequent operators – and I’ve spoken with at least ten of them at this point – seem to be catching the hindi quite quickly. Seems like a pretty large operation and they absolutely suck at blocking numbers.
