Just curious…how were you able to determine that?
For 8xx ( toll free ) numbers, I use one of two sites:

For standard numbers:
https://freecarrierlookup.com/
I think while it’s fun to troll these guys a bit, it’s unlikely to prevent victims from being scammed, so I try and report the number if at all possible.

It’s not exactly up to date, missing hd carrier, and a few others, but we could probably fix it up and have our own… I also think we might be able to integrate the carrier lookup feature when a number is reported…
