Some guy answers their “toll-free” number almost whispering. Once he turned up his headset he got to business of asking the lead-in questions so he could find my account. Upon giving him a totally made up transaction id he found my account and informed me that my account was being used by someone in New Mex. He quickly moved to needed to “secure my computer.” I informed him that I don’t have a computer, I only have an iPad and an iPhone. He replied with “Oh, you don’t have a computer so you are totally safe. Have a good day” and hung up.
So apparently only PayPal accounts can be compromised if you have a computer these days…
This guy was pretty chill so he might be one to call back and mess with some more.
