PayPal Invoice Refund scam 888-234-9144

Additional information about this scam:
Looks like scammer’s are using fake seller info to generate false PayPal invoices that are actually on PayPal’s website to fool victims.
I got this email: Bitcoin Exchange [email protected] Oct 11, 2022,

The ‘View and pay invoice’ is an actual PayPal invoice:
https://www.paypal.com/invoice/s/pay/INV2-YMKN-P5KR-KS9L-BNFS

However, the seller is the scammer.

yea I remember watching videos about this scam a while ago but I’ve never actually seen any instances of it happening. That looks really convincing, at least to anyone who thinks “Bitcoin Exchange” is the name of any legitimate crypto exchange company.

Unfortunately there are many people who have no clue about Bitcoins and would certainly believe it might be true and fall for the refund scam by calling that number.
