HIGHLIGHTS FROM VIRTUAL MACHINE BAIT:
- The scammer will answer as Geek Squad. In order to “cancel,” you are asked to “open the Google Chrome” and install AnyDesk (ID: 1576300899 Password: easy1234).
- Once they remotely connected to my virtual machine, they wanted me to fill out their “cancellation form,” which claims to be “McAfee,” in all capital letters.
- Once I completed the form, I was asked to log into my nonexistent bank account. Since I don’t do online banking, he wanted me to log into my nonexistent bank account, so I played him the bhenchod song.
