Scam Number: (816) 320-0537
Carrier: Onvoy (presumed Microsoft Teams)
Call Center Location: India
Answers as: “Customer Suppoat” or "PayPal
Technicians: “David,” “Valdez”
Falsely Claims: Purchase of Bitcoin, while the charge was for Ethereum
Remote Access Software: QuickAssist (Code: VS116J, User: Valdez) and ConnectWise from llcare.shop (Code: 35793)
“David” was too braindead to provide “suppoat,” so I called back and got ahold of “Valdez” who remotely connected to my virtual machine via QuickAssist, or their “AI Server,” just to download ConnectWise from llcare.shop.
“Valdez” was too braindead to get ConnectWise running on my virtual machine, but absolutely loved to keep asking me what I fucking see on my screen every goddamn minute!
“Valdez” then asked me to open the nonexistent email I received, despite the scam originating from a text. then to open the text message on my virtual machine, then my email once more.
I was then asked to fill out a “PayPal refund cancellatiion form,” which they falsely claim was “affiliated with Better Business Bureau,” then asked if I was using a smartphone, then telling me to restart my computer on the grounds that I cannot see what’s on my computer screen.
Once I filled out the form, I was then asked to log into my nonexistent bank account. But since I don’t do online banking, I was asked to go to a nearby crypto ATM or make a Western Union wire transfer.
