I just had a one hour call with these beggars. It went from PayPal to the “fraud department” then to my bank (Wells Fargo), then to a fake officer with the federal reserve… Oddly, all 4 had the exact same accent. 
At the end, he told me “we knew from the ‘bignining’ that you were just wasting our time.”
I was contacting Australian victims late last year who were on their way to get supermarket gift cards (often their favored type here). I spoke to a genuinely lovely but hard as nails retired aged lady who was doubting the whole thing when I contacted her. I told her the entire scam script and she said, “how do you know that?”
I told her we’ve all seen and heard their bullshit literally tens of thousands of times. Every scam changes slightly, but the whole premise is to fool you into a confidence trick by convincing you their fantasy is real after it’s confirmed by a myriad of trusted sources. It’s often the same person or the idiot sitting next to him on the phone playing the part of the bank manager, local law enforcement, federal police, as well as the entity they start out as PayPal or Amazon etc.
She said yeah that’s the problem I had, they all spoke terrible broken English, which not a single Australian police officer or bank manager would ever sound like that. Then she cracked me up and had me in stitches, when she said there was a couple of times when things didn’t seem right and I should have told them to GO AND GET FUCKED!!
Perfect etiquette and use of every day profanity from an Australian lady retiree senior citizen (she even hurled the everyday use of the “aunt” word with a “c”)
She was heading off straight down to the lawn bowls and social clubs to tell all her friends that if the police ever call and have an Indian accent then you should all tell them to FUCK RIGHT OFF!!
Absolutely correct, the police will never ring you, they knock on your door.

I’ll tell you what, PecanHead (who passed away last Monday) was the go-to guy for getting into scammers computers and that dude would stay up at night trying to get info to save victims.
I’m nowhere near as good as you guys with computer skills, I’m more of an annoyance to scammers and deploy my modest flooder when needed and report numbers to the carriers.
I sure miss Pecan, his abilities, his dedication and mostly his hearty laugh.
He was even taller than me at 6’ 7" a giant with an equally sized heart.

Just about all the guys in our small hit squad are very adept at taking over all sorts of systems these brain dead clots require for their bullshit.
There are weeks when some of the guys take over the voicemails on a truckload of numbers… there has been entire consecutive blocks of them at times. The messages are replaced with hilarious AI generated voice messages.
There is one guy on this forum, who spent hours one day recently calling hundreds of genuine victims who returned calls on all their numbers who had left massages for these dickheads.
I’d really love to be able to show the phone number for possibly the biggest high profile grifter in the US who lost access to their voicemail. This lowlife piece of garbage was constantly in the news for the wrong reasons for many years but was a real shame it all went sideways and collapsed in a smoldering heap
