Additional information about this scam: I was asked why I use screenshots. I do this to capture the date, time and numbers the scammers text from, not all are spoofed.
RingCentral, the femchod was too deaf to provide “suppoat” so I called back to a separate femchod who falsely claimed the account was registered in Arkansas, Ohio, Texas, New York and New Jersey.
- In order to “cancel,” I was asked to download AnyDesk, preferably on a smartphone, but she was too impatient to even provide “suppoat.”
- I called back and “Thomas” had to speak with his supervisor before asking me to “open the Google Chrome” and download ConnectWise from rscare.live (IP: 193.233.203.146
), which is designed to impersonate Microsoft. - After “Thomas” hung up on me, I called back and he told me to speak Spanish.
