I called again, but this time they answered as Apple Pay. I asked what happened to PayPal and the guy hung up on me. There are a bunch of freshers working here! I also asked him if this was his first day on the job and he didn’t like that.

If you get different scammers answering as different companies, it means that this number is being rented by multiple call centers. Marks (complicit wholesalers) often charge call centers on a pay per call scheme to get as much out of the number that was sold. Being because marks make more money from these calls or because the mark is in short supply. If you have a screenshot, I can report this to T-Mobile. In general, post a screenshot. If the screenshot has details like an email address or a spoofed number, just black it out.
That goes for everyone, please. I don’t understand the point of people who have screenshots but they instead choose to write out the scam text or invoice instead of sharing the image.
