Once remotely connected to my virtual machine, the incredibly-deaf and incredibly-impatient “Sarah” decided to put me on a lengthy hold before providing a “transaction ID” of DSAJKHFGF.
- I was then asked to log into my nonexistent bank account. However, since I don’t do online banking, she put me on hold for another lengthy period of time before asking me to log in once more and place the call on another lengthy hold before asking me to log into my nonexistent PayPal account.
- Instead, I was asked to go to a grocery store and purchase a $500 Apple gift card, prompting me to play the “bank will freeze my account” schtick before she refused to “suppoat.”
They stopped picking up when I call. When I first called to verify the number I had asked James the scammer if he was getting busy yet, he said no and I told him ‘I assure you that you will be so busy answering calls today that you will hide from them.’ I was put on hold but hung up because I only wanted to check the number and not bait.
