The email was sent to me by Web Impact LLC. from Al Jerozolimskie 85, 02-001 Warsaw, Poland. However, the URL I was redirected to is operated by Paradigm Press, LLC and is designed to fraudulently misuse the likenesses of Elon Musk and President Trump in a way that likely violates 18 U.S. Code § 912.
The popup falsely claims that “the real bull market is just getting started” as Musk is working “to create the most powerful AI on the planet.” But this is all marketing ploy in order to sign unsuspecting victims up for a fraudulent cryptocurrency “investment network” by James Altucher, which is sold as a subscription for $49 for the first 6 months, then $299.
User complaints on the BBB and Google listings for Paradigm Press, LLC indicates patterns of fraudulent activity, such as:
- Fraudulently advertising their services over the phone (in violation of the TCPA) and through emails,. as well as charging annual fees when they claim they don’t and refusing to offer refunds.
- Collecting their victims’ credit card info and continuing to charge them without proper consent.
- Fraudulently selling their victims’ personal information to predatory “investment gurus”
