“Sgt. Ray White, a deputy with the Cook County Sheriff’s Department. He said there were three warrants out for my arrest for not showing up for jury duty in a federal trial. He also said they had my signature showing I received the summons. He gave me a case number, his badge number, the judge’s name and he knew my age and address. He said since I had never been in trouble he was giving me a courtesy call to try to resolve it without an arrest. He said there was a “civil alleviation process” where I pay a surety bond and then go to the sheriff’s department in Chicago with two forms of ID, take a signature analysis test and then get a refund of the bond money.
He said each charge had a $1,000 fine”
