hey guys, I am a frequent user of OfferUp and I wanted to help expose something that it’s a huge flaw in the app
Scammers post “free” or very cheap items for sale on OfferUp, and the only way you can get is to pay them on cash app, and of course as soon as you pay them they disappear and they never send you anything.
They post things like PS fours, iPhones, computers, cameras, really anything small and expensive.
offerUp has refused to answer my emails with anything more than a generic reply, what’s more, they remove MY account when I post ads warning people of this scam!
Please, I’m just a beginner in the scammer.info world, and if you can help me contact offer up for a meaningful answer and hopefully they can remove some of these Scammers or ban expensive stuff for free or too cheap or whatever. maybe with more people contacting them, it will finally come to their attention that their platform is riddled by scammers and it’s NOT ok.

hi there. Yeah, scums of the earth. They’re less intelligent than humans and don’t know how to make a conversation.
Tried IP grabbing them and exposing their location, but they don’t give a crap (most live in Lagos Nigeria).
You can try convincing them to rat their computer, then install a keylogger to grab their passwords while they’re away.
Also report any zelle cashapp or paypals they have
Embarrassing to admit, but I texted one of these scammers before, although I realized it was a scam pretty quickly after they wanted shipping fees, thankfully.
