Additional information about this scam:
Step father got a text from “PayPal” about a suspicious transaction. Likely a phishing scam. I didn’t check it for myself because I don’t have the resources to check, additionally I don’t want to accidentally mess up and get phished lol. Not sure what could be done about this but if you can mess with them go for it! Here’s the message
