Anyone know where I can get the ico file for notepad I saw someone post about a tool for it but cant find it again
The icon should be on each and every windows computer. I downloaded Reshack to change icon for my files lol
There are many websites that have free .ico files with various icons that you can download for free.

@defaulthell#125639
They dont look very official and just look like a screenshot
@AussieScamBuster#125628 I mean as in a actual file format not just saved on the pc I will try that icon changer if I edit it on the host then drag it to the vm will it still look the same
@grabscammersip#125646 I’ve done some searching, and I believe I’ve found a file you might like. This was the closest thing I could find to an offical-looking notepad .ico file, but I’m sure most scammers won’t notice the difference.

@grabscammersip#125647 Should still look the same on vm. Reshack might be able to extract the notepad.ico from windows and save it as notepad.ico. I use Reshack on my vm and hide it.
I extracted all the icons for notepad and uploaded them here http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=72152892048889219763
And just in case you or someone else is after the *.txt icons they’re here http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=00406644609678741519 and if you’re ever after windows icons they’re in windows\system32\shell32.dll
Here are some useful ICO files. Very useful for scam baiting… http://s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=04796344295747779147
I use Download IconViewer you just have to go to the properties of any file or some common .dll files that contain the main windows icons that are found in sys32.
A good .dll in sys32 for icons is Shell32.dll
The program can download the icons within the apps
@JimBrowning11#125687 Help me I’ve been scammed.1-800-358-7578 … It was one of fake Microsoft pop up. I was robbed they took 1000 usd from my account. Please help me
@robert9866#128806 for that check out the other thread and post your information there: http://scammer.info/d/27279-pc-logical-llc-scam-800-358-7578
File a complaint with the police and show them this forum thread which I linked above. Show them the fake popup. If you don't have it, check your browser history around the time it happened and try to save the link and post it here.
Try to contact your bank and ask them about the possibilities of reversing a payment due to fraud.
Try to recall as much information as possible such as their website, how they processed the payment, if it was via credit card or gift cards etc.
