I told “Steve” $399.99 and he accepted it.
He asked for an invoice number, I told him I only wrote down the phone number and I deleted the email. He looked up my Norton account with my first and last name, Oscar Meyer and confirmed the charge. 
Making up any old rubbish always works.
Their whole premise is to steal money from a non existing refund
If the refund is within a reasonable range, they’ll roll with it.
They always modify the refund depending on what is in the bank account anyway.
We need to split the refund into 2 parts is possibly the most ridiculous bullshit I’ve ever heard, but they do that crap often if they need to get the extra zero amount down to within bank fund range
Sounds like smart kids… but in the wrong industry.
