Scammer’s Number:859-305-1866
859-305-1866 … at 11:46 am Central, today, Friday, 26-Nov-2021, I called this phone number and I got a message machine. I left a message to call me back please so that I can cancel the $803.11 auto renewal of the Norton Antivirus. Maybe they will call my TextNow number back.
@alesthebait, thanks for posting this number AND the screenshot of the invoice. As I posted, I called it and left a message from my TextNow number to call me back please so I can cancel the auto renewal of Norton for $803.11.
I just got a call TO my TextNow number from a different phone number that had Area Code (786) and a man with an American accent said he saw that I called a different number 859 305 1866 and left a message, and that there were other calls to that 859 305 1866 that left messages. He said he is with NetTalk and that someone has this 859 305 1866 phone number and 6 other phone numbers through Nettalk’s PBX service. He said he is calling back the numbers that left a message for this 859 305 1866 number and that everyone like me said that it is a scammer’s number. He said they are going to SHUT DOWN the 7 numbers of the person (including this 859 305 1866) since they know the person is using the numbers to scam people.
I thanked him very very much and said that some providers like Onvoy do NOT shut down numbers when we report scammer’s numbers to Onvoy.
So at least in this instance this scammer’s phone numbers that are through the PBX service of NetTalk are going to be shut down! ![]()
I’ve gotten dozens of calls (this week lol) from many types of scammers. I’ve called back some of the numbers only to find out that they had spoofed a legit number. One was a dental office in Florida. One was just a personal number. That’s why I’m cautious with calling repeatedly.
I am nervous as well, so that’s why I wait until I hear the Indian accent before I start going off. Or anything with bad English, asking about warranties, tech support, social security etc. After a while you can get a good feel and spot a scam call within the first sentence.
I hate that any time I call a company and someone who doesn’t have English as their first language and I get suspicious. These knuckleheads don’t understand or care that they’re literally giving their own country a bad rap. It’s sad really.
