Noida Police RAIDS, shuts down loan scam operation (12 ARRESTED, INCL. KINGPIN!)

On July 15, 2025, police in Noida, Utter Pradesh, India raided an illegal call center operating out of a 17th-floor office space at the Jaypee Kosmos apartment complex for deceiving American nationals with a loan/voucher scam, where

  • The scammers will send bulk emails to their victims, whose data was purchased from Google.
  • The victims will be asked to purchase gift cards in order to receive “loans and gift vouchers”

12 individuals were arrested, including their 25-year-old kingpin Mustafa Sheikh from Mumbai. The other bhenchods arrested were:

  • Chance, a 22-year-old from Delhi
  • Dinesh Pandey, a 49-year-old from Darjeeling
  • Sohil Ajmil, a 27-year-old from Ahmedabad
  • Kalpesh Sharma, a 34-year-old from Ahmedabad
  • Aftab Qureshi, a 34-year-old from Ahmedabad
  • Umar Samsi, a 44-year-old from Mumbai
  • Vidov, a 31-year-old from Manipur
  • Ram Sevak, a 27-year-old from Madhubani, Bihar
  • Satyanarayan Mandal, a 35-year-old from Madhubani, Bihar
  • Thijno Luto, a 20-year-old from Nagaland
  • Nibule Akami, a 22-year-old from Nagland.

Police have also seized 10 laptops, 16 cell phones, 9 laptop chargers, 9 headphones, 5 keyboards, 5 computer mice, an Internet router and an iPhone charger.
