HIGHLIGHTS FROM VIRTUAL MACHINE BAIT:

  • The scammer, “Alex” answers as Norton and claim that your computer came with a Norton subscription that has since been auto-renewed, prompting you to “cancel” by “opening the Google Chrome” and receiving a callback from their TextNow line (918) 372-5333.
  • “Alex” then had me download AnyDesk and throw my computer out the window, as his TextNow line was no longer in service.
