New "Microsoft" Tech Support Number

@tomtom#47574 when you do a whois, you look at the root URL, in this case, ITwebking.com. If you navigate to the site, you can see it was originally a router support company operating out of LA cira 2016. They sold routers and did in-home computer repairs. This is further backed up by the whois historic records of the site. It seems to have been taken over cira 2017 and has been updated every month since then.

The company was at one point legitimate, but probably went under and its web-page was purchased.

@DariusBeowulf#47595 What about the webpage under the main url? They are having the windows support page.

Try calling on their scam number and ask about the online windows support.

Do you reckon you could do the same on their live chat? They provide that service

@tomtom#47847 that is under the itwebking.com site. Whois only works with base domains, as it is pulling up what information was used to register that domain.

Think of it this way. your root domain is a parcel of land, and the pages and content of the website are akin to buildings, rooms, cars, furniture, etc. on that property.

When you do a whois lookup. that's like looking at the county deed records to find out who currently owns that land. if you know who owns that land, you can make a reasonably correct guess that most of the things on that land are there because the owner knows about it and allows it.

But let's say some homeless guy sets up a tent in a corner of that property. looking at the whois won't tell you anything about that homeless guy, at all. he snuck into the property (website) and put HIS stuff there (malware, injected webpages, etc) and there is no record that will show who he is and when he did it (since he's not on the deed, and on property via a method that doesn't have paperwork associated with it. owner probably doesnt even know about him)
