thanks for help!

As far as free apps, I use text now, text free, text me, Talkatone, second number, second line, textU and Google voice.
Ooma free is good, you only pay for your state & federal tax, but you have to buy an Ooma ‘box’. But you can usually get a used one on eBay. I had five lines through Oma and it was about 35/month. (for all five lines) or $8.00 for one line.
Now, I’m using VoIP.MS. it’s one penny per minute, but toll free numbers are no charge and you can spoof your number(s).
I love toll free numbers because they don’t cost me anything.

Voip.ms is exactly what I use and I love it!

If it wasn’t for being able to change my CID anytime I wouldn’t be able to this as long as I have.

Me too!!
I used Ooma for a few years, but I like VoIP.ms much better! Being able to spoof is a HUGE advantage for baiting.

I’ve heard of ooma too but only have heard it when bobrtc was up. Never knew what it was. What can you with ooma? how does it work?

Ooma is sort of like magic Jack. You need a little interface box. The free version doesn’t have a lot of features, but it’s free, you just have to pay tax. Five lines cost me about $35/month. US, and Canada are all free calls. I used the five Ooma lines and the free phone apps on two cell phones. So I had about 18 numbers.

Ok, I don’t need a little box. LOL

I tried Voip.MS for about 3 hours before I finally demanded a refund (which they are still fighting). I couldn’t get any softphone to work on my Mac. Which software are you using?

Yea, I’ve heard before that they don’t work on mac’s

I’m using it with windows 10

Same here. Won’t work on Chrome book either. I hate chrome book. Who’s idea was it to put the speakers on the bottom and not putting an HDMI plug on it. Dumb!

There are a lot of different Chromebooks out there. My Acer has an HDMI port.

I do have a Windows 11 machine I could use it with. Which program are you using there?

I’m using voip.ms on my mac just fine. I’ve been using it for a little over a year now. I use Bria for my softphone.
