A friend of mine came across an ad on Youtube for a “MyFlightSearch” and it seemed pretty dodgy. So I looked into it, and I did find some interesting things. Like most travel agencies, they have a lot of negative reviews claiming scam, no refunds, cancelled or non-existent bookings. There is also a scammer.info article claiming that they impersonate major airlines, however no substantial evidence is provided asides from people wrote the reviews calling it a scam. In my brief look into the company, I found these numbers belonging to them: (833) 200-3172, (888) 884-4555, (833) 200-3343, (833) 665-4259, (855) 630-4626, (702) 333-2004, (855) 752-4496, (702) 333-2004, (855) 888-1419, (800) 200-3310, (833) 200-3270, and (833) 200-3122. When calling the number, the lone worker left to handle night calls first told me they were Airborn Traveler, with the number (833) 718-7246. However after that he claimed to never have said that, and that they were MyFlightSearch, even despite the fact that the 7246 number led me right back to him!
Overall the thing’s I’ve found have been pretty sketch, but there is no concrete evidence of them being a scam outside alleged victim testimonies. So I bring it to you all, can you find evidence of this company being a scam? Is it just another shady travel agency? Or is it legit and these things not matter much? Before one votes, I ask that you really look into the information I have provided, the old scammer info post provides, and any and all information one can gather from researching into this company.
So it’s come to my attention that there are a couple threads that claim this company is a scam and all that, however that is not proven. These two threads (1) and (2)
These threads are just… not a good look for the site. The first thread makes it seem like cheapflights.com is part of this groups “scam” operation, which is just a massive fucking lawsuit waiting to happen. As well as a baseless association with Beluga Fares (not the first time they’ve been accused of being another group)
The second thread is an unorganized mess, with different groups being lumped in without reason.
But the thing that is the funniest, imo, is the fact that neither of these threads actually found the link between them and this organization.
cheapairfare.com is also a “sister-entity” as described by one of the employees, so airborntraveler.com could also be a sister-entity, i’m not entirely sure rn
but seriously, to reiterate, there is no evidence these people are scamming. There are only bad reviews, and as an employee told me, most are because of covid-related problems that get customers upset.
