HIGHLIGHTS FROM VIRTUAL MACHINE BAIT:

  • The scammers asked for my name and what number I received the call from before hanging up my call. I got ahold of three scammers from my Google Voice line before switching to TextNow.
  • When I called from my TextNow number, they started transferring all calls to the real Western Union.

Got similar call from a spoofed number.
Linda claims to be my daughter (script changes to Claire)

Got robocall today from “Visa and Master Card”
Card used at Amazon and Western Union. They cannot cancel $3900 Western Union as it is international.

There is a Canadian version of the same script ?my daughter Olivia" used Western Union to send money inteernationally.
