Plus, the Federal Trade Commission does NOT even have the power of arrest. They’re a civil enforcement agency.
The FTC does not have the authority to make arrests or bring criminal charges.
They only investigate companies for unfair or deceptive practices, they don’t investigate citizens.
Perhaps we should start making the scammers think some of these do have more power. ‘The National Bureau of Federal Investigations and Maritime Money Laundering’ or ‘The Association of Local, County and State Investigations Bureau’ Make up a doozy of a name and act afraid of it. Let the scammers believe it is a new office under our President and has more power than the others.
