Midland collection 800-341-7502 scam or not?
New Delhi
Debt Collection, fake or reAL?
800-341-7502
I donāt deal with debt collection, so wouldnāt be sure if itās a scam or not. I have no idea what questions to ask.
I think they are outsourced collection. He did say they are in New Delhi.
He told me they represent several USA companies.
Just searching up the number alone, hereās what I could find:
Reddit - Dive into anything listed here on R/SCAMNUMBERS
https://slick.ly/us/8003417502 (Searched TWICE, no comments)
https://base.ly/us/8003417502 (Search TWICE, no comments)
Just searching up the company alone, hereās what I could find:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Midland_Credit_Management,_Inc.
https://www.midlandcredit.com/ (This APPEARS to be their website)
They appear to have a LIVE CHAT option. I spoke to two different people and hereās what Iāve been told, waste of time:

Thank you. I feel they are scammers or running a very shady operation. I talked to āDukeā who admitted to be from New Delhi.
Same, here - for me at this moment in time nothing at all clicks that this is in any way legit. Plus, the fact theyāve been searched 4 times recently on 2 different sites, and are already posted to R/ScamNumbers with people saying theyāve called them and trolled them etc and the post for example hasnāt been taken down makes me that this in fact is a scam and it just makes me believe itās all bullshit.
answering on Sunday
800 341 7502 spoke to James. he gave me the main number
877 366 1520. called and spoke to grayson also. both in New Deli. I believe he was outsourced debt collector even though he could not say. we had good conversation .
they were both very aware of the political corruption and the fake media here in our country and the the globe.
That means nothing, of course he would to give you the actual number to make them look legit.
Thatās like saying imagine If I had my own call centre, pretending to be Amazon or whatever huge name company out there in X Industry, with whatever department and this is just another number or something - with myself pretending to be Big Boy Jeff Bezos and a scambaiter asked for proof I was from the actual Amazon company, just because I was giving them the main number and so what? You could easily search it up and find it.
r/scamnumbers and other sub reddit sources are the worst place to get any information
You should treat EVERYTHING found within 100 miles of those site with extreme and complete disdain until you meticulously verify itās authenticity
I say that because on Monday last week, while belting a very large Indian scam call centre with thousands of calls, every twenty or so calls at random is inserted with one of our own honeypot trap caller IDās. The scammers call those numbers back like lunatics, which tells me they also waste massive amounts of time calling back all the completely dead CIDās.
They also usually without fail spoof the nearest caller ID they can find, in this case they started to robocall our CIDās to potential victims. Some not very bright scambaiter got our caller ID and without verifying anything, did what all geniuses disguised as imbeciles do, stampeded straight to imbecile central r/scamnumbers and listed our honeypot number as that of the scammer. We were then inundated with the usual conga line of racists getting their hourly fix of systemic racism by calling the honeypot number and giving it all they had, as well as telling us how fucked over we were, how smart they are and how stupid we were and that our arrest was imminent because they were way too clever for us.
After listening to their racist rants until it got very unfunny and over the top, they got an eardrum burst of 180db+ ear rape and we told them they were communist clowns and had just called the best there was in the business at taking down scam call centres and to get another hobby they may actually be good at. Scambaiting is not their fortĆØ in life
They werenāt happy little brainless campers at allā¦very unhappy in their life losing existences indeed.
The clown who listed the number at least was horrified at his mistake and offered to take it down and did so immediately.
On the upside, because the scammer spoofed their instructions to call back their numbers by using our CIDās, we were able to save two victims who called our number instead. When we warned them off of the scam they were disappointed firstly that they werenāt getting the too good to be true deal of a lifetime, before being very grateful to have not fallen victim and lost a substantial amount of cash in that amazing new currency, Google Play gift cards.
One middle aged lovely lady was so grateful to be told not to hand over her cash to these scammers, which she was going to do but luckily didnāt call the scammers back, she dialed one of our numbers instead.
Yeah, I can see why you say. For the record, I havenāt CALLED the number in question, but Iām also saying as in āitās already been posted elsewhereā without being taken down - as in "this may SUGGEST that itās definitely a scam. Iāve never dabbled in insurance, debt etc as itās harder to know. So I donāt tend to call them unless itās been definitely proven to be impersonators. But, where thereās an official website with the option to reach someone, then I tend to go there and ask for confirmation.
Although Iāve found alot of active scam numbers there, that Iāve also reposted here. Obviously, I get not every post may be legit.
so i was in contact with customer support and they said this
ok update.
I decided to call the number and they said that their website was
https://mcmpay.com
if you look up Midland Credit on google you get this website
so im assuming this is a copycat scam and they will try to make you think they are a real company
I think your analysis is right.
1 ring hang. I wanted to try call it.
