Microsoft Tech Support Scam Number + Scambaiting guide

Hi guys, I have found a scammer number and site.

Here is an image of what it looks like so you don’t have to go to the awful browser locking site:

image capturepng.png![image capturepng.png](replace/assets/files/2017-12-04/18:55:560-capturepng.png)

the site is: katlidepx.tk/gb/main3/indexx.php?pn=ICs0NC04MDAtMDg2LTkzNzQg
The UK number is +44-800-086-9374
I will try find other country numbers. I think you just have to replace gb in the site to any other country.

When they ask you what you were doing when you got this pop-up, say you were trying to go to netflix and this came up because that is what happened but I mispelled netflix on purpose to get the number. (Don't say that last part) The number is toll-free.

Guide to trolling this number:

Step 1:Call them using firertc or anything except your normal phone number as they will spam call you.
Step 2: Talk to them and when they ask you what you were doing when you got this pop-up say you were trying to access netflix.
Step 3: Pertend not to be too good with computers and fall for them.
Step 4: When they ask you for your name or ANY personal details, use hxxp://www.fakenamegenerator.com/ and use those. I recommend copying the information into a notepad for easier access. When going onto the site, replace hxxp with http or https. Or just go on www.fakenamegenerator.com
Step 5: Before calling, practise a mini script and what you will say to what questions.
Step 6: Set up a virtual machine. I'm sure there are many ways to do that. Look it up on YouTube if you don't know.
Step 7: If you don't want to step up a virtual machine, just waste their time on the phone (firertc or phone number spoofer application etc...)

This guide was for beginners. This is a new account and is my first post on it but I do have experience with scambaiting and I'm just sharing what would have helped me when I first started out a year ago.

If you don’t know how to get out of the page, type in a stupid username and password (not your real ones as the information gets to their servers and they use your name and stuff) and then press ok. Then close the tab.

@Rajeshi_Gardner Has it spot on.

Definitely, use a VPN when calling a scammers because most of time they will try if your not careful to obtain your IP Address even from Command Prompt.

If they ask for your age try to say your over 40 because if you say your 20 they will most likely become suspicious - I'm only saying this because I was caught out by it once and is worth mentioning.

Also aim to install some programs on your VM and try creating some documents to make it look legit - a clean install will just give it away easily.

Good advice I'm impressed!

@ITAdvocate#17922 Yes, I sometimes use CyberGhost for premium VPN service but no-ip is a good VPN too. Btw, did you try calling the number?

I haven’t tried it yet but will do!
