The bhenchod I spoke to was working next to his kid and almost refused to “suppoat” when trying to get me to download UltraViewer from ultraviewer.com. As he was installing Office, he tried to get me to provide my login credentials through Notepad and log into my email account.
- The scammer opened the Event Viewer to falsely claim the warnings and errors were “viruses” and that I needed to pay $299 for “antivirus securities.” I asked him for a “secure payment portal on the web,” but he instead asked for me to provide a fake email address through Notepad.
- I was then asked to make the payment to “Apex Prime Consultancy” through PayPal. I refused and swiftly hung up.
The scammers operate under the business identities of:
- “Go Software, LLP” falsely claiming to operate from a coffee shop in Las Vegas, Nevada.
- “Sweet Home,” otherwise known as “qboservices”
- “MSTechExpert”
- “Viati Digital”
