Additional information about this scam: Typical popup virus scam, poster on guru reports a scam “This number is a fake number representing Microsoft in which they lock up your computer after clicking an email about a dog going up tree and they install a program to scan your computer to simulate scanning for viruses. That is a false front so they can set up a call to FTC to scam your bank account by having you withdraw money. And beware of this number 202-995-5856, which is the DC number that you think is the FTC government office.”
