Additional information about this scam: Posted on a website to alert of the scam, I called and the scammer said my Microsoft account is compromised.
Here’s what the poster said:
“Received 4 email messages 4 minutes apart. The last 2 were duplicates. Supposedly from Microsoft Azure. The message said that Azure detested an unauthorized transaction for $499.99. The second message indicated that it had put a hold on the transactions but to prevent Account Suspension and reverse any fees I had to call the Resolution Hotline. Number was 812 484-9724.”
