Additional information about this scam: Sent to me by @Creature3d with these guys sending fake popups. I do not have the popups, but when I called they said this:

They are claiming to be from Microsoft and lying about a “threat”.

I got a weird private message like this too from another poster. Had three phone numbers that they wanted me to verify were scams. Then the message got edited and the numbers disappeared. Hmm.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM VIRTUAL MACHINE:

  • The scammers blocked my Google Voice line, so I called from my TextNow line. After claiming there was a virus popup, they blocked my TextNow lline.
