Additional information about this scam: I did not receive this alert, but a poster online described “On a Windows 11 PC, I received a modal popup that wouldn’t allow me to close it. It was “Microsoft” branded set of windows that said my computer was hacked, and to call 888-734-0595.”

Been calling them
Well, I usually don’t call these because I don’t think I can keep a pop up scammer on the phone long because they usually want to connect to your device. BOY WAS I WRONG!!! They changed from Microsoft to Apple!
They never once asked to connect, but they sure found a lot of bad stuff anyway. Yes, it does go to FTC.
They are very dedicated to their scam, and they like to sound legit. So much so that because it was after 5pm, they couldn’t discuss my situation with The U.S. Treasury.
I have a call back appointment tomorrow at 11am. Not sure how much longer I’ll be able to keep them on the hook.
An Indian man answered. Definitely not who he says he is.

Got the call back this morning. They wanted me to take all the money out of my checking and savings and “secure” the funds in their Bitcoin wallet at a nearby Bitcoin machine.
