Additional information about this scam: Was contacted by a family friend today who got a popup from “Microsoft”- I don’t have a URL as I wasn’t there for the beginning, but the popup was a typical “your computer has been infected” type scam. The family friend unfortunately let them connect, and they then did the typical spiel of “finding issues,” etc- thankfully they contacted me before the scam could get too far along. The first number listed above is the one that was on the popup itself, and the other is a direct line for “Steven Jordan,” the particular scammer that was on the machine I dealt with. I called both numbers myself and tested them, and both go through as of this afternoon. So have fun, and make them regret making me clean up the computer after the fact haha.
