Once remotely connected to my virtual machine, “Brandon” blanked my screen as he pulled up a refund form hosted on Cancellation and refund form, which is designed to make it look like I got a refund of $6,999.90
I was asked to log into my nonexistent bank account. But since I don’t have online banking, I was asked to enroll even though it was impossible for me to do so. Instead, I was asked to go to the nearest Walmart and make a Western Union/Moneygram transfer of $6,299.91 or purchase Apple gift cards.
I refused to do so on the grounds that the bank would freeze my account if I paid in that way and instead offered to write a check to them or put my card details on a “secure web portal.” Hew responded by trying to sign me up for a Walmart account so I can purchase an eGift card, though I refused because he was trying to create an account without my consent.
In the end, “Brandon” locked me out of my virtual machine and said the FBI will arrest me for purchasing child porn.
