HIGHLIGHTS FROM VIRTUAL MACHINE BAIT:
- The scammer, “Ryan Taylor,” answered as “McAfee Customer Suppoat” and falsely claimed that my account was compromised to subscribe to a McAfee pro plan, prompting me to “cancel the fraudulent charge” by “opening the Google Chrome” by going to apnh2.top (Code: 47183 IP: 94.103.188.127
) - Once “Ryan” remotely connected to my virtual machine, dubbed as “connecting to the McAfee Secure Server,” my call was transferred to “Brandon Cooper,” who blanked my screen with a fake system update and pulled up a fake “cancellation form.”
- After I completed their form, I was asked to log into my nonexistent bank account. Since I don’t do online banking, I was asked to register for one anyways. I responded by playing him the Bhenchod Song.
