I on phone now

Since my first call to this phone number earlier today when a scammer answered, I have called this number now and again this afternoon.

Sometimes after a number of rings I have been put eventually into a message machine with a voicemail greeting about “We are sorry. There is no one available to take your call. Please leave a message.”

It is very interesting that I have called this afternoon this same toll-free number and I get put into a message machine after several rings but the greeting of the voicemail is “The TextNow subscriber is not available” and to leave a message.

Did the criminals somehow set up their toll-free number to forward to SOMETIMES go into the TextNow voicemail of one of the criminals YET OTHER TIMES a call gets put into the VOIP toll-free number’s voicemail?

This is strange.

sounds like a spoof

I was wondering if they are spoofing the toll-free number from their TextNow number but is that even possible? I can understand how they would want people to think their TextNow number is a toll-free number.

What’s strange though is that the two different voicemail greetings were mixed up between going at times to TextNow voicemail greeting and going at times to the other “We are sorry. There is no one available to take your call. Please leave a message” voicemail greeting.

Maybe though they have a real VOIP toll-free number but sometimes people are put into one message machine with the one type of voicemail greeting and other times the callers are put into a VOIP message machine that has the recording of the TextNow voicemail greeting. Why though would they use also the recording of a TextNow voicemail greeting if they or the boss/bosses are paying for a toll-free number?

Very strange indeed
