I normally try not to call anyone anymore outbound, unless someone can show me a “Nomorobo” screen shot, a screenshot of a mass-emailed request for calls, etc. However, I do not see why a legitimate person would want me to go to Anydesk. If the person hires a lawyer to complain about a “telephonic denial of service attack,” I wonder how the lawyer would justify needing to use Anydesk in court? ![]()
I was trying something different, claiming I was traveling and therefore using a public college network. He dropped the call immediately, but at least I got about 18 minutes of their time. My dog yelling at the cat next door at the end kind of shortened things. I have been trying to call them back with no luck. I was running mabox linux with a windowsfx linux installation in a VM emulating a college network that wouldn’t permit installation of any programs. This was interesting in that the scammer said he was in SE Asia. Usually, they always insist they are in the U.S. somewhere.
